Approaching God’s throne with confidence…

EXALTING HIS PERSON

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.”  1 John 5:14-15

ENGAGING HIS WORD

• Pray for Pastor Larry McCall as he preaches this Sunday. Pray that the Gospel would continue to empower our people every day.
• Pray for the new Life Education classes and Children’s Ministries classes starting this week, that God’s Word would be powerful and effective in our lives.

ENCOURAGING HIS PEOPLE

• Those suffering affliction:
  • Jane (Don) Clemens – ALS. Continue to pray for God’s strength to face each day for His glory.
  • Kim Waggoner – lymphoma. Pray for Kim as she continues with chemo treatments, that she will get the rest she needs and that the chemo would reduce the tumors in her abdomen. Pray for pain in her bones to subside and for higher white blood cell counts.
  • Abbitt Family (Pastor Tom Abbitt of Warsaw Community Grace Brethren)  - Pray for God’s comfort to the Abbitt family during this time, as Cathy went home to be with the Lord on August 31.
  • Jim Brown - Recovering from a successful but major aorta surgery. Jim was recently moved to Grace Village’s rehab facility (8/25). Pray for healing for Jim.
• Pray for those who are new to CCC, that we would welcome them and include them in the CCC Family.
• Pray for struggling marriages.
• Pray for the Restoration Group that meets each Monday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., for honest confession of sin and active faith in God’s power to turn from our sin.
• Pray for unemployed and underemployed at CCC. Pray that families will see God meet their needs.
• Pray for those in jail/prison: Ken Moore in New Castle State Correctional Facility

EXTENDING HIS FAME

• Ramadan (August 11-September 9) – Pray for God to move in the hearts of Muslims around the world. Pray that during this month of fasting, many will be awakened to the truth, and pray also for spiritual protection for believers who work with Muslims.
• Chris Berger – Pray for Chris and his team as they minister in Oaxaca. Pray that God would grant them favor with the village leader of El Jic. (abbreviation).
• Brad and Barb Settle - Pray for Brad and Barb as they minister stateside. Pray that the Lord would raise up workers to join them as they take the Gospel to unreached peoples (Kuria). Pray that final permissions from the three local villages would be granted for a team to live among the Kuria. Pray also for Jessica as she begins her first year at college.
