“All families are sin-sick, all families are in need of grace, and all families are in need of a better hope than their own relationships.” -Daniel Montgomery, Faithmapping (123)
Whether we like to admit it or not, our families are the place where we typically experience the deepest hurt and the most profound confusion in this life. Whether as a child, parent, or spouse, we all feel the effects of sin and the brokenness of our world in the context of our families. And we feel our weakness as we try to make things right but repeatedly fail…Our spouse can’t fix us. We can’t fix ourselves. Our children can’t fix themselves.
We need help.
That help comes in the gospel of Jesus–the good news that God can forgive us of our sins, transform our hearts, empower us to live obediently, and restore even the most broken of relationships!…So the Family Ministries of CCC are oriented toward helping children and adults embrace this good news and toward helping them live in light of it as they interact with their families.
