This Sunday at CCC…
Growing up, we likely all heard stories that were intended to teach a lesson. Think of “The Tortoise and the Hare” or “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” Those stories weren’t intended to teach us about a slow turtle, a fast rabbit, or the dietary habits of wolves. Rather they were intended to teach us about diligence and honesty by attaching them to storylines that we would more easily remember than some abstract concept.
The art of using stories to teach is an ancient one, practiced masterfully even by Jesus Himself. Over the next seven weeks as we gather on Sunday mornings, as part of a sermon series we’re calling Snapshots of the Kingdom, we’re going to be looking at some of those parables of Jesus – the stories He told that still have much to teach us today. We hope you can join us as we begin this Sunday!
Each week we’ll include a list of songs we plan to sing as part of our worship services. We hope this helps you to learn the songs and sing them throughout the week!
