Sunday Review, 09.30.18

Below are some notes from this weekend if you weren’t able to join us:

WORSHIP GATHERING

  • Pastor Marc shared God’s Word with us from John as we’ve jumped back into finish out our John: Love that Gives sermon series. You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: John: Falling & Lifting.
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 09.30.18

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

  • Our 2-5 year olds classes are working their way through The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. This week they learned from Genesis 24:1-66 about how Rebekah Gives Camels Water Too! Key Truth – God will help us. Memory Verse – “You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield.” (Psalm 115:11) Application Question and Answer: Q: Have you ever asked God to help you? A: God helped Abraham’s servant find Rebekah. Rebekah married Isaac, and many many years laster, Jesus was born into their family. Do you need God’s help today? You can ask God for help right now.
  •  The large group Kindergarten-4th grade class is following along with the current sermon series to learn alongside of those in the worship service, but in ways that are more applicable for their age and learning styles.
