Sunday Review, 10.28.18

Below are some notes from this weekend if you weren’t able to join us:

WORSHIP GATHERING

  • Pastor Larry shared God’s Word with us from John 14:1-14 to continue our John: Love that Gives sermon series. You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: John: Let Not Your Hearts be Troubled
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 10.28.18

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

  • Our 2-5 year olds classes are working their way through The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. This week they learned from Exodus 1:1-2:10 about how Miriam Watches the Basket. Key Truth – God watches over his people. Memory Verse –“The Lord watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.” (Psalm 121:56)
(Genesis 50:20) Application Question and Answer: Q: Who watches you and keeps you safe? A:

God watches over his people just like Miriam watched over Moses. God’s people are safe with Jesus
just like Moses was safe in the basket.
  •  The large group Kindergarten-4th grade class is following along with the current sermon series to learn alongside of those in the worship service, but in ways that are more applicable for their age and learning styles.
