Sunday Review, 12.02.18

Below are some notes from this weekend if you weren’t able to join us:

WORSHIP GATHERING

  • Pastor Marc kicked off our Advent series, Joy to the World, by sharing God’s Word with us from Psalm 67. You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: Advent 2018: Joy to the World
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 12.02.18

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

  • Our 2-5 year olds classes are working their way through The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. This week they learned from Exodus 20 & 32 about how A Cow Popped Out. Key Truth – Moses prayed for the people. Memory Verse – But Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin…” (Exodus 32:31-32) Application Question and Answer: Q: Have your ever been angry with your brother or sister or friend? A:Instead of being angry when someone sins against us, we can choose to pray for them. We can pray, because Jesus prays for us when we sin too.
  •  The large group Kindergarten-4th grade class is following along with the current sermon series to learn alongside of those in the worship service, but in ways that are more applicable for their age and learning styles.
