Have you gone through periods of your life as a Christian in which you would honestly describe your relationship with God as “distant”? Why is that? Is it guilt over past sin? Is it just plain old apathy? Or maybe you’ve gradually been distracted by lesser things.
Hebrews 10:19-22 gives us gospel hope in remedying this “distance.” In fact, God tells us to “draw near.” But, it’s no heartless command He gives us. He has sacrificially and lovingly provided all that is necessary for us to enter into his presence to find help, to worship, and to just enjoy his presence!
