Lamentations: Resurrecting a Dead Language
Have you ever heard of the concept of a “dead language?” A dead language is one that was spoken in ages gone by, but that has long since stopped being used. Latin comes to mind as a great example. While we could still learn to read Latin, no one really speaks it.
It would seem that lament has become a dead “language.” Though we can read an abundance of examples of laments in the Bible, lament is rarely vocalized in American churches today (at least in any sort of biblical sense).
Join Pastor Marc Goodwin as we look at the book of Lament-ations together. We’ll learn about this lost language of lamenting, and how to go about it as Christians.
