Rich Became Poor

2 Corinthians 8:9

Everyone loves a good rags-to-riches story. It’s inspiring to hear of people who were born with nothing but worked hard to improve their lot in life. In elementary school, many kids learn about Abraham Lincoln, who was born to a poor family in Kentucky but ended up living in the White House as the 16th President of the United States. A more recent story is that of Steve Jobs, who, along with a few friends formed Apple Computer in the garage of Jobs’s parents in 1976. By the time he died in 2011, Forbes estimated his net wealth at $8.3 billion.

But what about riches-to-rags stories? Have you heard any good ones? Join Pastor Larry McCall as he preaches from 2 Corinthians 8:9 about our amazing Lord who went from “riches to rags” in order to accomplish our salvation.
