Confidence Propelled by Partnership

Philippians 1:19-20

Webster’s Dictionary defines confidence as the feeling of being certain that something will happen or that something is true. It has been said that Walt Disney was turned down by over a hundred banks when he tried to get funding to develop Disneyland. He was also fired from his job at a newspaper for “lacking ideas.” He also had several bankruptcies before he was able to develop Disneyland. It sure seems that Mr. Disney had ‘confidence’ in his vision for Disneyland.

This coming Sunday, we will be looking at some confident statements by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 1:19-20.  Paul wrote, “For I know that through your prayers and the help of Spirit of Jesus, this will turn out for my deliverance…”  He goes on to say in verse 20 that it was his “eager expectation and hope” that no matter what happened he would not be ashamed and that Christ would be honored in his body whether by life or by death.
What was the basis of such confidence in Paul’s life? Join Pastor Rod Valentine as we dig in deeper into Paul’s confidence which is ours as well.
