Sunday Review, 09.09.18

Below are some notes from this weekend if you weren’t able to join us:

  • Pastor Marc shared God’s Word with us from Psalms 127 to continue our Labor Day, 2 week series regarding Work & Rest. You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: A Biblical Understanding of Work and Rest: A Spirit-Inspired Lullaby.
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 09.09.18

  • Our 2-5 year olds classes are working their way through The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. This week they learned from Genesis 2:4-3:24 about how Adam & Eve Disobeyed. Key Truth – Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Memory Verse – “…she took its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate…” (Genesis 2:6) Application Question and Answer: Q: Can you think of a time you disobeyed? A: We all disobey God, but Jesus still loves us. Jesus is the Savior God promised. Jesus fights against all evil and sin. When we disobey, Jesus brings us back to God.
  •  The large group Kindergarten-4th grade class is following along with the current sermon series to learn alongside of those in the worship service, but in ways that are more applicable for their age and learning styles.
