Sunday Review, 10.21.18

Below are some notes from this weekend if you weren’t able to join us:

  • Pastor Marc shared God’s Word with us from John 13:21-38 to continue our John: Love that Gives sermon series. You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: John: Double-Crossed, Single Cross.
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 10.21.18

  • Our 2-5 year olds classes are working their way through The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. This week they learned from Genesis 37; 39-45; 50:20 about how Joseph’s Brothers Sell Him. Key Truth – God’s plans are still good. Memory Verse – “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” (Genesis 50:20) Application Question and Answer: Q: Do you trust God’s plan? A: Many years later, one of Jesus’s friends sold him. People put Jesus on a cross to die. Jesus’s friend made a bad plan, but God’s plans are still good. God wanted Jesus to die for our sins so that everyone who trusts him can be saved.
  •  The large group Kindergarten-4th grade class is following along with the current sermon series to learn alongside of those in the worship service, but in ways that are more applicable for their age and learning styles.
