Sunday Review, 5.14.17

Over the weekend, we had wonderful times of worship together–with a celebration of moms and the baptism of two people as well! In case you weren’t able to be with us for our time together yesterday morning, here’s what you missed:

  • It was Mother’s Day Sunday! So we had cinnamon rolls to help aid in the celebration, and we showed this video as a simple thank you for all the moms in our congregation:

  • Pastor Marc shared from Matthew 18:10-14–the Parable of the Lost Sheep. The main idea of that parable and of the sermon was stated as this: “Don’t look past those God looks for.” You can listen to it, or download it, by going here: The Parable of the Lost Sheep
  • Each Sunday, we hand out “Children’s Bulletins” to help kids pay attention and benefit from their time in the worship gatherings. If you’d like to see yesterday’s “Children’s Bulletin” and potentially use it as a way to jog your memory of ways you could follow up with your child about the gathering, you can find it by going here: Children’s Bulletin from 5.14.17

  • In our children’s classes, as part of the Gospel Project curriculum, boys and girls learned about when “Jesus Met a Samaritan Woman” (John 4:1-42). If you’d like to see a short summary of what was taught, as well as have a simple question or two that you could ask to further process the lesson with your child, check this out: Summary of GP Lesson from 5.14.17

Check back tomorrow for “Food for Thought,” in which we’ll share a handful of articles from around the internet that we’d recommend for you to check out!
